92 Delegations Confirm Participation in Parliamentary Conference on Commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Asian-African Conference
92 delegations from 32 countries have confirm their attendance to the Parliamentary Conference to Commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Asian African Conference (PAACC) 2015 held in 23 April 2015 in Parliamentary Building Jakarta.
The conference aims to deliver the parliamentary perspectives on efforts to develop South-South Cooperation, creating a world of peace and prosperity. This conference would also provide a venue to discuss forward the looking solutions to the common emerging challenges faced by Asia and Africa. The other objective of the event is to deliver parliamentary perspectives of Asian-African countries on the Post-2015 Development Agenda and its inter-governmental negotiation.
Asian and African Parliaments need to contribute in the formulation of Post-2015 Development Agenda. Parliamentarians has the opportunity to explore ways of promoting a continent-wide cooperation on mapping the commonalities of development priorities in Post-2015 Development Agenda. Attaching great importance on Post-2015 Development Agenda of both continents can provide necessary means to support the existing platform of Asia-Africa cooperation for the people benefit from the global development agenda.
