It is my pleasure to announce that the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia will host the Third World Parliamentary Forum on Sustainable Development (WPFSD), and it would be a great honor for us to invite parliamentary delegates from friendly countries to attend this forum on 4-5 September 2019 in Bali.

This year, the third meeting of WPFSD carries the theme “Combating Inequality through Social and Financial Inclusion.” With the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, combating inequality and applying social protection has become the centre of policy agenda in all countries. While financial inclusion should be at the forefront of government policies to reduce income inequality, governments must protect the people and promote more social inclusion by distributing resources more fairly. This is where we, as parliamentarians can make an impact.

On behalf of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, I look forward to welcome you in Bali. Together, we shall create an enabling environment for the achievement of SDGs.
