PUIC 2012

Excellency,

I have the honour to invite Your Excellency and the delegation which you select to participate in the proceedings of the Seventh Session of the PUIC Conference, scheduled to be held in Palembang, on 30^th and 31^st January 2012.

The Conference will be preceded, on 28^th and 29^th January 2012, by the meeting of the Fourteenth Session of the PUIC General Committee (previously the Council), with the participation of two members, representing the parliament of their country, under the Presidency of H.E. Dr. Marzuki Alie, as host of the 14^th Session of the PUIC General Committee and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Indonesia.

The Sixth Meeting of the three Standing Specialized Committees (SSC) will also take place in Palembang on 26^th and 27^th January, 2012.

The Executive Committee of the PUIC will also hold its Twenty-Seventh Meeting in Palembang on 24^th and 25^th January 2012 with the participation of the Member delegates of this Committee.

There will also be the Conference of the Muslim Women Parliamentarians which will also be held in Palembang on 27^th January, 2012. In this regard I would request that while composing the delegation to these meetings consideration may be made to have a woman parliamentarian in the delegation who would be participating in the Muslim Women Parliamentarians Conference.
