The Speaker of Indonesian House of Representatives, Mr. Marzuki Alie will lead ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) delegation to visit India upon the invitation from The Speaker of Indian Parliament/Lok Sabha, H.E. Mme Meira Kumar from July 29 until August 3, 2012. Parliamentarians from Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand will also join the delegation that will meet with the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Leader of the opposition and Minister of Parliamentary’ Affairs during the visit.

India looking forward to this visit, which also marks 20 years cooperation between India and ASEAN. India considers AIPA have strategic position and the visit is expected to strengthen India role as the special observer in AIPA. A number of India’ main cooperation in the fields of information technology, legislation and education are going to be the topics for discussion.
