PUIC 2012

Welcoming the 7^th Session of PUIC Conference, preparations are in due, including in substantive subjects. The theme of the upcoming Conference will be focused on Democracy in the Islamic World. Indonesia as a democratic country with a large number of Muslim populations is expected to become a role model to demonstrate the correlation of Islam and democracy. Regarding the Arab Spring which was recently taken place in the Middle East, Indonesia through the PUIC Conference supports the peaceful change of power in the region. Indonesia also encourages all parties involved to hold and to address the aspirations of the people.

Other important issue to be addressed at the Conference will be the support made by Indonesia and other PUIC Member States to a peaceful Middle East and to a full and permanent membership of the Palestine at the United Nations. The people of Indonesia believe that independence is the right of every nation-state, including of the Palestine. Indonesia on this occasion will also made history to host the first PUIC Women Conference. Muslim women in Indonesia have an important role in all aspects of socio-political life of the nation-state. In line to this issue, Indonesia will promote the importance to strengthen the role of women in development, particularly in a democratic country.

لترحيب الدورة السابعة لمؤتمر الإتحاد، يتم الآن الاستعداد الكامل، بما في ذلك المواد الموضوعية, وسوف يتركز موضوع المؤتمر القادم حول الديمقراطية في العالم الإسلامي. اندونيسيا كدولة ديمقراطية بعدد كبير من السكان المسلم من المتوقع ستصبح نموذجا يحتذى به للتدليل على العلاقة بين الإسلام والديموقراطية. فيما يتعلق الربيع العربي الذي حدث ومازال مؤخرا في الشرق الأوسط، فاندونيسيا من خلال هذا المؤتمر ستؤيد التغيير السلمي للسلطة في المنطقة, كما ستشجع إندونيسيا جميع الأطراف المعنية على الاستمرار والتصدي لطموحات الشعب.

والمسألة المهمة الأخرى التي يتعين معالجتها في المؤتمر هي الدعم الذي قدمته إندونيسيا وغيرها من الدول الأعضاء في الإتحاد لعملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط و لعضوية الكاملة والدائمة لفلسطين لدى الأمم المتحدة. اندونيسيا تؤمن بأن الاستقلال والحرية هو حق لكل شعب بما في ذلك شعب فلسطين. وإندونيسيا في هذه المناسبة أيضا ستخلد إسمها علي صفخات التاريخ لاستضافة أول المؤتمر للبرلمانيات المسلمات. المرأة المسلمة في اندونيسيا لها دور هام في جميع جوانب الحياة الاجتماعية والسياسية علي مستوي الدولة والشعب. وفي هذه الأطر، سوف تعزز اندونيسيا على أهمية تعزيز دور المرأة في التنمية، لا سيما في بلد ديمقراطي.
