PARLEMENTARIA, Jakarta - Chairperson of the House Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation (BKSAP), Fadli Zon, stated that the Indonesian Parliament strongly condemns the terrorist attack which was strongly suspected of being orchestrated by Israel in the Islamic Republic of Iran, killing more than 100 civilians.

"Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Boroujerdi said that there was an incident that occurred yesterday in Iran, an act of terrorist attack carried out by Israel which killed more than 100 people in Iran. " The Ambassador hoped that the Indonesian Parliament would also condemn the blasts that killed civilians," Zon said after the courtesy call at the House VIP Guest Room, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (4/1/2024).

Speaking more on the issue, the Great Indonesia Movement Party (GERINDRA) politician called on the international community to immediately help put an end to Israel's atrocities. One of the suggestions from Zon, who also serves as a Member of the House Commission overseeing defense, foreign affairs, and information, is to invite other countries to be actively involved in influencing the United States.

"Because the United States and Western countries are the only hope to stop what Israel is doing now. It shows their reputation; if they allow this, it means they are participating in the genocide that has been and is happening," Zon asserted.

Therefore, Zon hopes that more countries will take a stand against Israel's crimes, including submitting these crimes to the International Court of Justice.

" I think Israel took it upon themselves to do what they did because they have the States behind their back/they have the blessing from the USA.," Zon concluded.

It is reported that 103 people died as a result of two explosions that occurred at the burial complex of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard General Qassem Soleimani on Wednesday (3/1/2024). Some Iranian officials accused Israel for the attack since the blast was not caused by a suicide bomb. (pun/rnm)
