PARLEMENTARIA, JAKARTA - Member of The Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the House of Representatives of Indonesia, Unru Baso, said that Armenia's practices in managing its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) could serve as a reference for boosting productivity among Indonesia’s MSMEs actors. He noted that this was one of the main topics discussed during a courtesy meeting with the Armenian Ambassador, which focused on strengthening communication and exploring potential cooperation between Indonesia and Armenia.

In addition to discussing MSME, the tourism sector was also high on the meeting agenda. "We will observe how Armenia manages its MSME in terms of product development and governance. Hopefully, we’re planning for a working visit to Armenia next year," Unru told Parlementaria following a courtesy visit between the Armenian Ambassador and the Indonesia – Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group at parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, 1 July 2025.

Touching on cultural cooperation, he noted that it includes aspects of management and organization to make destinations more appealing to visitors. “This also includes the natural environment — how Armenia packages its tourism offerings. We could learn from that,” he explained.

As for cooperation in other sectors such as political and economic cooperation, Unru said that further discussion would take place, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Armenia moving forward.

"As of now, we don't have an embassy in Armenia. We'll meet with the government to discuss the possibility of opening one," said the politician from the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra).
